The E2E-C06S02-WC-B2-R 2M: This is the E2E Mini DC 3-wire proximity sensor from the Omron E2E family, sized at 6.5 mm diameter — that's M6 class, so it slides into standard M6 mounting holes or clamp brackets. Shielded construction means you can flush-mount it into metal without losing sensing range; that 2 mm sensing distance is the rated target for a mild steel standard target, and it holds when the sensor is surrounded by metal walls. Output is PNP normally-closed. The NC configuration gives a fail-safe loop: if power drops or the sensor fails, the load de-energises. Supply voltage spans 12 to 24 VDC nominal, but the datasheet says 10 to 30 VDC so it'll ride through brownouts most industrial 24 V supplies won't even notice. The 2 m cable is a PVC Robot Cable with bend-resistant construction. That's not just marketing — the jacket is formulated for continuous flex applications like cable tracks or robot arms. For a static mount you could get away with a cheaper cable, but if this sensor rides on a moving axis, the robot cable saves you a mid-life rewire.
Sourcing posture: we carry this in our network and can quote against an RFQ with a lead time typical for Omron E2E Mini parts. If you need a second-source cross, the 6.5 mm shielded M6 form factor is shared by several manufacturers, but we won't guess a pin-compatible drop-in unless you provide the exact alternative MPN — each has its own internal electronics and cable exit.
