This Omron E2E-S05N03-WC-B2 5M is an M5 cylindrical proximity sensor from the E2E Mini DC series. It outputs PNP normally-closed, detects ferrous targets up to 3 mm away, and runs on 12–24 VDC (10–30 VDC range). The 5 m oil-resistant PVC cable and stainless steel body suit it for tight spots with washdown exposure. Shielded only? No — this is unshielded, so the sensing face can be flush-mounted without derating the 3 mm gap. The NC output keeps the signal high when the target is absent, a common failsafe arrangement for end-of-stroke detection on small actuators. Keep one on the shelf if this sensor lands in a washdown cell; the stainless case and 5 m cable mean it's not a quick swap from a standard M8 barrel.
