Connector and wiring decision
This variant terminates in an M12 quick-disconnect connector — the -M1 suffix signals the 4-pin male coupler. No cable is attached; the buyer orders the mating cordset separately. That is an advantage on a panel or machine where the sensor may be swapped without pulling a hard-wired cable back through the conduit. The M12 A-coded interface is standard across the E2E NEXT family, so a single cordset type covers multiple sensor positions in the same BOM.
