The Omron E2EG-X1R5C1 is an 8 mm cylindrical inductive proximity sensor with a 1.5 mm shielded sensing range, NPN normally-open output, and IP67 enclosure, suitable for high-speed part detection up to 2 kHz. Runs on 12…24 VDC, draws 13 mA max, and switches up to 200 mA load directly – enough to drive small relays or PLC inputs without an interposer. The yellow LED indicator on the barrel face gives immediate state feedback for commissioning and troubleshooting. Operating temperature spans -40 to 70 °C, so it works in cold storage or near hot machinery – just watch the ambient at the mounting face.
