M8 Shielded Inductive Sensor – PNP NO, 2 mm
The E2F-X1R5F1 is an M8 threaded cylindrical inductive proximity sensor from Omron's E2F series, shielded for flush mounting in metal. It delivers a 2 mm sensing distance on mild steel, PNP normally-open output, and operates on 10-30V DC with a maximum load current of 200 mA. The sensor body is polyarylate resin, rated IP68 and NEMA 4X for submersion and washdown environments. A 2 m prewired cable with bare ends provides the electrical connection. Certifications include CCC, CE, CSA, and cURus.
Flush mount the M8 shielded barrel into a standard M8 threaded hole or sensor bracket. The 2 m cable allows direct routing to a junction box or PLC I/O card without intermediate breakout. Confirm the PLC input type (sourcing vs sinking) matches the PNP output: the sensor switches the positive line; the load connects between output and 0V. Operating temperature range is -13°F to 158°F; the IP68 seal holds for continuous immersion up to the listed limits.
