If you're cross-checking against the E2KQ-X10ME1, note that part is a capacitive sensor with a plastic body and a longer 6–10 mm adjustable range. Different detection principle — E2KQ sees non-metallics too — so it's not a mechanical swap. The E2C-X1R5AH is also inductive but in a heat-resistant M8 brass body with a much shorter 1.5 mm range. For a panel originally wired for E2FQ-X5D1, either alternate requires rewiring and a deviation from the approved manufacturer list if Omron is the specified brand.
