What it is and how it fits
Omron's E2K-C25ME2 is a capacitive proximity sensor from the E2K-C series, cylindrical 34 mm diameter, rated for 25 mm sensing distance unshielded. NPN output, normally closed, 3-wire with 2 m prewired cable. Runs on 10-30 VDC, max load 200 mA. Adjustable sensitivity via the included driver lets you tune out false triggers from condensation or dust buildup – handy for level detection in greasy environments. The IP66 / NEMA 4 enclosure shrugs off washdowns and coolant splashes. Unshielded sensing face gives you some installation flexibility on non-metallic tanks or pipes.
Mounting and wiring notes
Cylindrical body, 34 mm diameter, 82 mm tall, prewired with 2 m bare-end cable – brown for +VDC, blue for 0V, black for NPN NC output. Mounting bracket and M4 screws included for through-hole or strap mounting. Sensitivity adjustment driver (included) accesses the trimmer through the rear cap. No need to break the seal – adjust live or powered down. The indicator light (amber?) gives you a quick visual on target presence.
