What It Is and What It Delivers
The Omron E3FA-LN122M is a current-production diffuse photoelectric sensor from the E3FA family, rated for 200 mm sensing distance on a 7 mm opaque target. It outputs an NPN open-collector signal (sinking, 100 mA max) and operates on 10–30 VDC. The plastic M18 cylindrical body carries IP67 and IP69K ingress ratings, making it a candidate for washdown zones in food, beverage, and packaging lines. Switching mode is selectable Light-On or Dark-On, and the red LED indicator is visible through the right-angle lens face. Built-in reverse polarity and short circuit protection on both supply and output reduce field failure risk without an external diode or fuse.
Integration Notes
Mounts via the 17 mm diameter cylindrical body. Prewired 2 m cable with bare ends. Right-angle lens faces the target. No separate amplifier needed.
