Overview
The E3SAT86 is an Omron built-in amplifier photoelectric sensor using a through-beam method to detect opaque objects up to 7 m away, housed in a PBT case with a denatured polyallylate lens. Rated IP67 and NEMA 4X (indoors only), it runs on 10 to 30 VDC and draws 20 mA max per emitter and receiver, with an additional 15 mA when the turbo function is active.
Selection and sizing
The 7 m sensing distance suits long-range presence detection across conveyors or machine gaps; the 3° to 15° directional angle on both emitter and receiver means alignment is forgiving but still requires the beam path to stay clear of obstructions.
