The Omron E3T-SR23 2M is a compact retroreflective photoelectric sensor from the E3T series, delivering a PNP output and operating on 12-24V DC. It detects opaque objects as small as 27 mm diameter across a 30–200 mm sensing distance, with a 1 msec response time. The prewired 2 m cable with bare wire termination suits panel mount or replacement in tight spaces; the 7 mm wide PBT body fits into narrow profiles.
What the ratings mean for fit
Retroreflective sensing requires a separate reflector (not included); the sensor emits red light and switches on when the beam is broken. The minimum object size of 27 mm diameter opaque defines the smallest reliable target — smaller objects may not interrupt the beam fully. The PNP output (source type) is common for PLC inputs in many control systems. Maximum load current is 50 mA, so it drives a standard input module but not a large relay directly. Rated IP67 with PBT housing. Operating temperature range from -13 to 131 °F, overall height 25 mm. The pulse synchronization feature allows multiple E3T sensors to operate in close proximity without optical interference — useful on conveyor or assembly lines where several sensors share a narrow path.
