Omron E3Z-FDP17 2M is a current-production diffuse reflective photoelectric sensor in the E3Z family. It gives you a 500mm sensing range on a dark target, with a PNP open-collector output and a 500µs response — fast enough for most part-detect and packaging lines. The housing is IP69K, so it's built for washdown environments where high-pressure, high-temperature cleaning is standard. Power it from any 10–30 VDC supply; the 2m wire leads come pre-attached, no connector to source separately.
The E3Z-FDP17 2M comes with a single-turn sensitivity adjustment on top, so set it with a small screwdriver after aiming the beam at your target. The 2m wire leads are 3-conductor (brown/blue/black) — brown to +VDC, blue to 0V, black to the PNP input. Shield is not required for typical industrial noise levels, but keep the cable away from high-current power lines. The IP69K housing means it can handle direct spray; mount with the M18 threaded barrel and included nuts at the correct standoff for the 500mm diffuse range. Operating temp is -25°C to 55°C; ambient temp inside a hot panel may push that limit.
