Key Operating Specs
The E3Z-LS81 DC12-24 2M is an Omron photoelectric sensor with background suppression (BGS) and foreground suppression (FGS) modes. It operates on 12–24 VDC ±10% and draws 30 mA max. The output is an open collector (NPN or PNP depending on model) selectable for Light-ON or Dark-ON via a switch. The 5-turn endless adjuster sets the sensing distance: for BGS, detection starts at 20 mm and can be set up to the adjuster position; for FGS, detection range is from the set distance to 200 mm for white paper (100×100 mm) or 160 mm for black paper. Differential travel is 10% of set distance max. Response time is 1 ms max for both operate and reset, making it suitable for fast-moving objects in packaging or material handling applications.
Protection and Mounting
Built-in protection circuits cover reversed power supply polarity, output short-circuit, and mutual interference prevention. Pre-wired with a 2 m cable; dimensions 1.08 × 2.0 × 3.1 cm fit tight spaces. No additional connector needed for installation.
