Product details

The E3ZM-R61 2M: Stainless steel rectangular body rated IP67 and IP69K — takes the caustic CIP cycle without corrosion. Retroreflective with Mirror Surface Rejection (MSR) so polished tanks or bright packaging won't ghost a false presence. 100 mm minimum to 4 m sensing range, red LED emitter, selectable light-on/dark-on. NPN output sinks up to 100 mA; supply is 10-30V DC via the prewired 2 m cable. Response time 1 msec.

Production status and sourcing

Listed as current production. No official successor — this is the active revision.

Mounting and wiring in the panel

Rectangular body: 11 mm wide, 32 mm high, right-angle sensing face. Prewired 2 m bare-end cable. Wire NPN output to a sinking PLC input: connect the load between the output (dark/light selected) and +V supply, common to 0V. Maximum load 100 mA — indicator or relay, not a contactor coil directly. IP69K means it survives high-pressure hot washdown; stainless clamps recommended for hygienic mount.

Frequently asked questions

What is the E3ZM-R61 2M wiring diagram for NPN output on 10-30V DC?

NPN sinking output: connect the load between the output terminal and +V supply (10-30V DC), and connect the sensor common (blue wire) to 0V. The output switches to low when triggered. Max load 100 mA.

Will E3ZM-R61 2M drop into a panel that was specified around E3ZM-T61 2M without rewiring?

No. The T61 is a through-beam pair requiring separate emitter and receiver wiring; the R61 is a single retroreflective unit. The sensing method and cable connections are different, so rewiring is necessary.
