The M8 4-pin connector keeps wiring consistent across the E3Z line — no adapter needed if you're already stocking the same connector style. Operating range is 12–24 VDC, loads up to 100 mA, and response sits at 2 ms — fast enough for most conveyor and part-detection applications, though not the quickest in the family. IP67 rating means it handles washdown and dusty environments; temperature floor of -25 °C and ceiling of 55 °C covers unheated warehouses and standard factory floors.
How it compares to the 15 m E3Z siblings
The E3ZT86LOMI and E3ZT86DOMI both max out at 15 m with a 1 ms response; the E3ZT87OMI doubles the range to 30 m at the expense of a slightly slower 2 ms response. Mechanical footprint (10.8 x 20 x 31 mm), M8 connector, and IP67 rating are identical across all three. If your existing panel was wired for an E3ZT86LOMI, the E3ZT87OMI drops in without re-termination — same pinout, same mounting holes, same connector. The only check is whether the longer range and 2 ms response still meet your timing and object size.
