The EE-SX1109 is a single-channel slotted optical switch from Omron, using a transmissive interrupter design. The transistor output switches when an object blocks the light path between the internal LED and phototransistor. The LED side is driven at up to 25 mA, and the output is a standard phototransistor suitable for low-current logic-level interfacing in automation control circuits.
