Form Factor and Fit
The EE-SX672A is an Omron through-beam photoelectric sensor from the EE-SX67 series, housed in a compact T-slot body. An infrared emitter and separate receiver detect opaque objects as small as 2 mm x 0.8 mm at a fixed range of 5 mm. The NPN output switches up to 100 mA with a response time of 0.17 msec, and the switching mode is selectable between light-on and dark-on. Supply voltage ranges from 5 to 24 V DC; the line is protected by output short-circuit protection. Solder terminals carry the wiring, and the PBT body carries an IP50 rating.
Comparison with E3Z-T61K 2M
The E3Z-T61K 2M is a rectangular through-beam sensor with a 15 m range, IP67, a 2 m prewired cable, and 12-24 V DC supply. The EE-SX672A's T-slot body and 5 mm sensing distance place it in a different application space — confined mounting for short-range presence or edge detection. The solder terminals of the EE-SX672A require a different wiring approach than the E3Z's pigtail. There is no direct bracket interchangeability or electrical compatibility without rework.
