5 mm through-beam, NPN output
The Omron EE-SX911-R-1M is a through-beam optical sensor with a 5 mm gap, NPN open-collector output, in a module-style package. The 5 mm sensing distance is the fixed slot width — the emitter and receiver are aligned in one housing, so there is no separate reflector or external alignment to manage. This makes it a direct fit for edge detection, die ejection monitoring, or flag sensing inside a pick-and-place head where the target passes through the slot.
