What it is and what it does
The Omron G2RV-ST700-AP DC24 is a slim interface relay from the G2RV-ST Series, designed for high-density DIN-rail mounting in control panels. It integrates a low-profile socket and uses screw termination, so it fits into a 0.24 in wide footprint — useful for packing more I/O into a crowded enclosure. The SPDT contact form handles 6 A resistive at 250 V AC or 6 A resistive at 30 V DC, with a derated 2.5 A / 2 A for inductive or mixed loads. That covers most pilot-duty and signal-level switching in a panel — solenoids, contactor coils, indicator lamps, PLC digital outputs. Coil power consumption is 0.3 W at 24 V DC, drawing 50 mA. That keeps the heat load low when you stack multiple relays side by side on the rail.
Sourcing and lifecycle
The IP20 rating means it's suited for dry indoor enclosures only — no washdown, no dust. Mount it inside a cabinet with at least IP54 protection.
