What it is and where it fits
The G730-VID16-B DC24 is a 16-point digital input module from Omron's G730 series, designed for use with C200H and C500 series PLCs. It accepts 24VDC field power and terminates via screw terminals. The module is chassis-mounted, so it occupies rack space in the I/O backplane of those PLC families.
Lifecycle and sourcing reality
This module is officially discontinued by Omron. There is no direct drop-in replacement from the same series; the G730 line is phased out. For a line-down or BOM-fill situation, sourcing will need to go through surplus or broker channels. We can source it via our network — submit an RFQ for current availability and lead time.
Integration notes
Mounts directly into the C200H or C500 I/O rack. Screw terminals accept field wiring for 16 discrete 24VDC sensors. Operating temperature range is 0°C to 55°C, so it's suitable for conditioned control cabinets but not unheated outdoor enclosures. CSA and UL approved for North American installations.
