Its headline operational current is 40 A in AC-7A duty (resistive loads like heating) and 15 A in AC-7B (motor loads), both at 400 V AC 50 Hz.
Durability and duty cycles
Electrical durability varies by load type: 100,000 cycles at 40 A AC-7A, 30,000 cycles at 15 A AC-7B, and 30,000 cycles in AC-3 (cage motor starting) and AC-5a/AC-5b (discharge lamp / switching) categories. Mechanical durability is rated at 1,000,000 cycles. The switching frequency is limited to 100 operations per day — this is not a high-speed cycling contactor; it is sized for occasional on/off control in a panel.
The housing is white, IP20 rated — suitable for clean, dry enclosure environments. Control circuit tunnel terminals accept 1.5 to 2.5 mm² flexible cable; power circuit terminals accept up to 25 mm² rigid or 16 mm² flexible. Tightening torque is 0.8 N·m on the control side and 3.5 N·m on the power side. Rated for operation at altitudes up to 2000 m, in ambient temperatures from -5 °C to 60 °C, and at 95% relative humidity at 55 °C. Pollution degree 2 (non-conductive pollution only). Tropicalisation treatment is applied per EN 60947-4-1 and IEC 1095.
Approvals include IEC/EN 61095 (the standard for household and similar electromechanical contactors) and EN/IEC 60947-4-1 (for industrial contactors and motor-starters). This dual-standard coverage means the part is accepted in both commercial and light-industrial installations across Europe and other IEC-adopting regions.
