The Schneider Electric A9D16810 is an Acti9 IKQE RCBO — a residual current breaker with overcurrent protection in a single 18 mm wide module (2 x 9 mm pitches). It combines thermal-magnetic overcurrent protection (C-curve, 10 A at 50 °C) with integrated earth-leakage protection set at 10 mA sensitivity, all in a 1P+N pole configuration. Rated breaking capacity is 10 000 A Icn at 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz, meeting Limitation Class 3 for high energy let-through reduction. Compliance is to BS EN 61009-1, the harmonised standard for RCBOs in the UK and EU. The part carries a white housing with toggle control and ON/OFF local indication, and is padlockable (Ø 4 mm padlock) for lockout/tagout.
The 10 mA earth-leakage sensitivity is the key differentiator here — standard RCBOs are typically 30 mA. A 10 mA device is specified for circuits requiring enhanced protection against electric shock, such as socket outlets in bathrooms, laboratories, or other wet locations where the body resistance may be lower. At 18 mm wide (2 modules), the unit occupies a single DIN-rail position, leaving room for adjacent breakers or accessories in a crowded enclosure. Wire strip length is 13 mm.
