It integrates thermal-magnetic overcurrent protection (C-curve, 10 A rated at 50 °C) and 30 mA earth-leakage protection into one unit, so a single device covers both short-circuit and ground-fault protection on a final subcircuit. Rated breaking capacity is 10 000 A Icn at 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz, which means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to that level without welding contacts or cascading damage upstream — a standard requirement for residential and light commercial distribution boards in TN earthing systems. The 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity provides additional protection against electric shock for final circuits.
IP20 rated — suitable for installation inside an enclosure; not for wet or washdown environments. The toggle provides ON/OFF indication, and the unit is padlockable (Ø 4 mm padlock) for lockout/tagout during maintenance. Contact position indicator confirms the state of the contacts independent of the toggle position.
Designed and certified to BS EN 61009-1 (the harmonized standard for RCBOs). The unit is suitable for isolation per the manufacturer, meaning it can be used as a disconnecting means for the outgoing circuit. Limitation class 3 indicates energy-limiting performance that reduces let-through energy under fault conditions.
