It protects a final subcircuit against overload, short-circuit, and earth fault, and trips both poles (phase and neutral) on any fault.
Breaking capacity is 6 kA Icn at 380–415 V AC, 50/60 Hz, per EN/IEC 61009-2-1. Limitation class 3 (energy-limiting) reduces let-through energy on high faults, protecting downstream wiring. Integrated 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity covers personnel protection (additional to basic insulation) per IEC 60364.
The 3P+N unit occupies 10 module pitches (9 mm per pole, 18 mm between phases) — 90 mm wide total. Depth is 78.5 mm, height 91 mm. IP20 on the terminals, IP40 inside the modular enclosure.
