It integrates a thermal-magnetic trip unit for overload and short-circuit protection with a 30 mA residual-current detection element, all in a single clip-on DIN-rail housing.
Rated 20 A (In) with a breaking capacity of 4500 A Icn at 230...240 V AC 50 Hz, certified to EN/IEC 61009-2-1. The 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity provides additional protection against indirect contact and fire risk from sustained earth faults. The thermal-magnetic trip technology means the bimetal handles sustained overloads (time-delayed) while the solenoid trips instantaneously on short-circuit currents above the magnetic threshold. The C-curve (5...10 × In) means the instantaneous magnetic trip operates between 100 A and 200 A for this 20 A unit.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail (EN 60715) — no tools needed for installation, consistent with the Acti9 modular system. The 36 mm width (4 × 9 mm pitches) houses both the phase and switched neutral poles in one module, saving one DIN space compared to a separate MCB + RCCB pair. Terminals accept 1...16 mm² solid or 1...10 mm² flexible (with or without ferrule); wire strip length is 15 mm and tightening torque is 2 N·m. IP20 on the front (finger-safe), IP40 inside the modular enclosure — standard for distribution boards.
Designed and certified to EN/IEC 61009-2-1 (the RCBO product standard). Overvoltage category III per IEC 60364, pollution degree 3 — suitable for fixed installations inside distribution boards where transient overvoltages are controlled by upstream SPDs.
