The Schneider Electric A9D56706 is an Acti9 DPN Vigi RCBO — a combined overcurrent and residual-current device in a single 3P+N module. Rated 6 A with a curve B trip characteristic (magnetic tripping between 3 and 5 times In), it integrates 30 mA earth-leakage protection for personnel safety. The 6 kA breaking capacity at 380–415 V AC (EN/IEC 61009-2-1) covers most residential and light commercial outgoing circuits.
The 6 A rated current (In) is the continuous load the RCBO can carry without tripping. Curve B means the magnetic trip fires at 3–5 times In — so between 18 A and 30 A — making it suitable for resistive or lightly inductive loads where inrush is low. The 30 mA residual sensitivity is the standard for socket-outlet and personnel protection in most IEC-based codes. Breaking capacity of 6 kA Icn at 380–415 V AC means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to 6 kA without welding contacts or cascading damage upstream. The thermal-magnetic trip unit handles both overload (thermal bimetal) and short-circuit (magnetic coil) in one package.
Clip-on mounting onto a DIN rail (35 mm). The tunnel-type terminals accept rigid cable from 0.75 mm² up to 16 mm², or flexible cable 0.33–10 mm² (with or without ferrule). The connection pitch is 18 mm between phases and 9 mm between phase and neutral — standard for Acti9 modular devices. Pollution degree 3 (industrial environment) and overvoltage category III (distribution board level). IP20 on the terminals, IP40 on the modular enclosure.
