The Schneider Electric A9D61840 is an Acti9 iC60 RCBO — a residual current breaker with overcurrent protection, combining a 40 A thermal-magnetic MCB and a 30 mA earth-leakage module in a single 18 mm-wide unit. It protects a single outgoing circuit (1P + N, neutral left) against overload, short-circuit, and earth faults.
Rated 6000 A Icn at 230/240 V AC 50/60 Hz. That's the standard domestic and light-commercial interrupting rating — enough for most final subcircuits in TN earthing systems. The limitation class is 3 (energy-limiting), so it lets through less fault energy than a class-1 breaker, which helps with downstream coordination and reduces arc-flash risk on the outgoing terminals. Clip-on DIN-rail mount, 2 module pitches (18 mm per pitch), 77.5 mm deep — fits standard distribution boards without a depth issue.
Screw-clamp terminals: top accepts 1…25 mm² rigid or 1…16 mm² flexible; bottom accepts 1…16 mm² rigid or 1…10 mm² flexible. Strip length: 14 mm top, 13 mm bottom. Padlockable with a Ø 4 mm padlock for LOTO isolation. IP20 body, IP40 in a modular enclosure — standard for distribution board fit.
Environmental and durability
That's a solid lifespan for a final-circuit RCBO in normal switching duty — not a daily-switch application, but fine for breaker-as-disconnect use.
