The Schneider Electric A9D73632 is an Acti9 iDPN Vigi residual current breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO) — a single module (18 mm wide) that combines a 32 A thermal-magnetic MCB with integrated 30 mA earth leakage protection in one unit. It's a 1P+N device, meaning it switches the live pole and monitors the neutral, leaving the neutral solid through the breaker. The clip-on DIN rail mount and tunnel terminals (up to 16 mm² upstream, 10 mm² downstream) make it a straightforward swap into an existing Acti9 or standard DIN rail panel.
At higher ambient temperatures you'd need to derate, but the 30 °C reference is standard for enclosed distribution boards. The 30 mA earth leakage sensitivity is the standard for personal protection against indirect contact (e.g., a fault to earth through a person); it's the most common trip threshold for socket-outlet circuits in IEC countries. If your supply transformer is close and the fault level exceeds 6 kA, you'd need a higher-rated device upstream or a current-limiting MCB to coordinate. The limitation class 3 means it limits the let-through energy to a moderate level, which helps with downstream cable protection.
Toggle control with ON/OFF indication and contact position indicator — you can see at a glance whether the breaker is open or closed. The neutral is on the left (fixed position), so wire-up sequence is consistent. Tunnel-type terminals: upstream accepts 1 to 16 mm² rigid or flexible, downstream 1 to 10 mm². Wire stripping length is 11 mm for downstream, 13 mm for upstream. The RCBO also has ON/OFF locking facilities (padlockable) for lockout/tagout during maintenance.
