It combines a 40 A thermal-magnetic trip (C-curve, magnetic trip 5–10 x In) with integrated 30 mA earth-leakage protection, all in a 1P+N format for single-phase outgoing circuits on TN earthing systems. Rated breaking capacity is 10 kA Icn at 230/240 V AC, 50 Hz, which covers the typical fault-current capability required for residential and light commercial distribution boards compliant with AS/NZS 61009.1.
Terminals are tunnel type: upstream accepts 1–25 mm² rigid or 1–16 mm² flexible; downstream accepts 1–16 mm² rigid or 1–10 mm² flexible. Wire stripping length is 13 mm for downstream, 14 mm for upstream. IP20 rated — suitable for enclosure use, not for wet locations.
The 40 A rating and C-curve make this RCBO a direct fit for general-purpose final sub-circuits in residential and commercial panels — think socket outlets, lighting, and small appliance circuits where the load is resistive or moderately inductive. The 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity provides additional protection against electric shock, meeting the typical requirement for socket-outlet circuits in many national wiring regulations. The toggle control provides local ON/OFF indication, and the device is padlockable with a Ø 4 mm padlock for lockout/tagout.
