At 6 A rated current, it protects a branch circuit up to that continuous load. Breaking capacity is specified as 6000 A Icn at 400 V AC per EN/IEC 60898-1 and 10 kA Icu at 400–415 V AC per IEC 60947-2. The higher Icu figure (10 kA) is the ultimate short-circuit capacity the breaker can interrupt once and remain functional; the Icn (6 kA) is the service capacity for repeated operation. For a distribution board with a prospective fault current above 6 kA, the 10 kA Icu rating provides the necessary headroom. Thermal-magnetic trip technology combines a bimetal strip for overload protection and a solenoid for short-circuit protection.
The 54 mm width (6 × 9 mm pitches) fits standard DIN-rail spacing in distribution boards. Tunnel-type terminals accept 0.33–10 mm² flexible or 0.75–16 mm² rigid conductors upstream and downstream; tightening torque is 2 N·m. Wire stripping length is 13 mm. IP20 finger protection per IEC 60529 — suitable for enclosed distribution boards where the front face is accessible but live parts are behind the panel door.
