The Schneider Electric A9N3P10BGN is an Acti9 xC60 miniature circuit breaker — a thermal-magnetic MCB rated 10 A, B-curve, 3-pole, designed for distribution boards on 35 mm DIN rail. It clips onto the rail and occupies 6 x 9 mm pitches (54 mm wide). The 10 kA Icn at 240 V and 415 V AC (per IS/IEC 60898-1) covers most commercial and light industrial fault levels; the limitation class 3 rating means it limits let-through energy well enough to coordinate with downstream equipment.
Rated current 10 A is the continuous load it carries at 30 °C ambient without tripping. The thermal-magnetic trip unit responds to sustained overloads (thermal bimetal) and short-circuits (solenoid). Magnetic tripping between 3 and 5 x In means the breaker holds motor inrush from small contactor coils and power supplies but clears a hard fault fast. Breaking capacity 10,000 A Icn at both 240 V and 415 V AC — that is the maximum prospective fault current it can interrupt without welding or exploding. For most distribution panels fed from a 200 kVA transformer or smaller, that is adequate headroom. The rated operational voltage covers 220–240 V and 380–415 V AC, 50/60 Hz, so it works on single-phase and three-phase networks within those bands.
Integration notes
IP20 finger-safe front, pollution degree 3 (conductive pollution expected in industrial enclosures). The white housing with toggle ON/OFF indication is standard for Acti9 panels.
