The A9N3P16CIN is a 16 A, 3-pole miniature circuit-breaker from Schneider Electric's Acti9 iC60N family, built to IS/IEC 60947-2. Breaking capacity is 10 kA Icn at 380–415 V AC and 15 kA Icu at 100–125 V DC. That 10 kA AC figure is the standard for most commercial distribution boards in markets following IEC 60947-2; the DC rating is useful for battery-backed or UPS-coupled panels where the fault current can be higher than a typical AC-only MCB handles. Rated for overvoltage category IV and pollution degree 3, so it's suited for the main incoming position in an industrial panel, not just sub-distribution. The thermal-magnetic trip unit gives you the standard two-stage protection: overload via the bimetal, short-circuit via the solenoid.
At 54 mm wide (6 x 9 mm pitches), it occupies three modular spaces. Depth is 77.5 mm, height 85 mm, so it fits flush in a typical distribution board without protruding past the cover. Biconnect terminals allow daisy-chaining without pigtails. Strip length is 13 mm; tightening torque is 2 Nm. IP20 finger-safe protection on the front face. Earth-leakage protection is handled by a separate block (Vigi iC60) that clips onto the same DIN rail alongside — the MCB itself is a thermal-magnetic only, no integral RCD.
Certified to IS/IEC 60947-2, which covers the breaking capacity, utilization category A, and limitation class 3 (energy-limiting performance). Suitability for isolation is marked on the device — yes, it can be used as a disconnector under that standard.
