It protects downstream wiring and loads against overloads and short circuits using a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism. Four protected poles (4P) let it switch all live conductors in a single-phase or three-phase system, giving full isolation when the toggle is OFF. The ON/OFF indicator on the front confirms contact position at a glance.
Breaking capacity is 10 kA Icn at both 240 V and 415 V AC, certified to IS/IEC 60898-1. Limitation class 3 per the same standard means it limits let-through energy enough to protect downstream equipment during a short circuit. Pair it with a properly rated upstream device and you get Type 2 coordination for contactors and drives.
At 72 mm wide (8 x 9 mm pitches) it occupies four modular slots, which is expected for a 4P breaker. Tropicalisation level 2 per IEC 60068-1 means it's treated against humidity and fungal growth — a plus for installations in coastal or high-humidity regions.
