The Schneider Electric A9R11280S is an Acti9 iID residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) — a 2-pole, voltage-independent device rated 80 A with 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity, Type AC, for 220-240 V AC 50/60 Hz networks.
The 80 A rated current (In) sets the continuous load capacity — sized for main incoming or large subfeed circuits, not branch lighting. The 30 mA sensitivity is the standard for personal protection against indirect contact; it trips on sinusoidal AC earth faults only (Type AC), so it is not suitable for circuits with pulsed DC or variable-speed drives that generate smooth DC fault currents. Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 500 V AC, and impulse withstand (Uimp) is 6 kV, so the device is coordinated for standard overvoltage Category III environments.
Neutral is on the left. Terminals accept up to 35 mm² rigid or 25 mm² flexible cable, with a stripping length of 14 mm and tightening torque of 3.5 N·m. The toggle control and padlocking option allow local lockout-tagout.
