The Schneider Electric A9R22291 is an Acti9 iID residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) — a voltage-independent, instantaneous-trip device sized for 100 A at 230/240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, with 100 mA earth-leakage sensitivity and Type A protection class. The 100 mA sensitivity means it is specified for circuits where a lower 30 mA threshold would cause nuisance tripping from leakage in long cable runs or equipment with natural earth-leakage current — common in sub-distribution, industrial socket-outlet circuits, or fixed equipment. Type A detection covers sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents up to 100 mA, which covers most modern electronic loads with half-wave rectification.
Integration & termination
Mounts on DIN rail via clip-on mechanism. Terminals accept 1–35 mm² rigid or 1–25 mm² flexible conductors top or bottom; strip length 14 mm, tightening torque 3.5 N.m. IP20 body, IP40 inside a modular enclosure — standard for distribution board installation, not washdown. Locking provision via padlocking device. Dimensions: 36 mm wide, 96 mm high, 69 mm deep, with 44 mm embedding depth behind the panel.
