Arc-fault detection device, 10 A, C-curve
The Schneider A9TDND610 is an Acti9 Active iCV40 ARC arc-fault detection device (AFDD) combining overcurrent protection and arc-fault detection in a single 1P+N module.
The 10 kA breaking capacity (H code) gives enough fault-current headroom for most final sub-circuits in India (the targeted country per the spec), where typical prospective short-circuit currents stay under 6 kA. Measurement accuracy is specified at ±2 % for voltage and current, ±5 % for power — this is the built-in metering function that lets the device report line conditions locally via the LED signalling (ON, OFF, fault trip, arc-fault diagnostic). The arc-fault detection itself follows EN/IEC 62606, which means it discriminates between harmless arcs (switch arcing, motor brushes) and dangerous series/parallel arcs that cause fires.
Cable entry is top and bottom, with a wire stripping length of 14 mm and a tightening torque of 2 N·m for the terminals. Tropicalisation to severity B (28 days per IEC 60068-2-30) means it handles the humidity and condensation cycles typical of coastal or monsoon-exposed panels without internal corrosion.
