The A9V52363 is a Schneider Electric Acti9 Vigi iC65 add-on residual current device — a voltage-independent, Type AC RCD that clips onto the outgoing side of an iC60 or iC65 MCB. It's rated 63 A with 30 mA earth-leakage sensitivity, 3-pole, for 230/400 V AC 50/60 Hz networks. The IP20 B enclosure and DIN-rail clip-on mount make it a standard panel fit for distribution boards.
This part is obsolete per the manufacturer.
Type AC detection responds to sinusoidal AC residual currents — the most common type for general-purpose socket-outlet and lighting circuits. Being voltage-independent means the trip mechanism doesn't need a separate supply to operate; it draws its energy from the fault current itself, which is a reliability advantage on aged or noisy networks.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, 7 module pitches wide (9 mm per pitch = 63 mm total width). The screw-clamp connection to the upstream MCB is straightforward — no special tooling. Trip indicator on the front gives a clear visual when the RCD has operated, which saves chasing circuits during fault finding. Rated for ambient operation from -5 to 60 °C, so it handles a warm enclosure without derating.
