Four poles, 40 A rated current, 30 mA sensitivity, Type A (picks up pulsating DC as well as sinusoidal AC leakage). The 30 mA sensitivity is the standard threshold for personal protection against electric shock in residential and commercial final circuits. Type A detection means it will trip on both pure AC residual currents and pulsating DC waveforms — common from rectified loads like switching power supplies, LED drivers, and variable-speed drives. Voltage-independent tripping means the device does not need a separate power supply to detect a fault; it uses the fault energy itself.
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail. The 4-pole module occupies 8 x 9 mm pitches — 72 mm total width on the rail. Neutral is on the left. IP20 on the body, IP40 inside a modular enclosure — standard for a distribution board or consumer unit.
Designed and certified to EN/IEC 61008-1 and EN/IEC 61008-2-1, the harmonized standards for RCCBs. Carries VDE quality label. Pollution degree 2 (normal, non-conductive pollution). Impulse withstand voltage 4 kV. Withstands 8/20 µs impulse currents up to 200 A per EN/IEC 61008-1. Electrical durability is 2000 cycles under AC-1 resistive load; mechanical durability is 5000 cycles. Ambient operating range is -5 to 40 °C; storage range -30 to 70 °C.
