The Schneider Electric A9Z14425 is a 4-pole residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) from the Acti9 iID series, rated 25 A continuous with 300 mA earth-leakage sensitivity. The 380-415 V AC 50/60 Hz operational voltage covers standard three-phase mains in European and many Asian installations, and the 10 kA conditional short-circuit current (per EN/IEC 61008-1) means it can withstand a fault up to that level without upstream reinforcement in most residential and light-commercial panels.
The instantaneous trip (no intentional delay) clears earth faults fast, but it also means nuisance tripping from surge currents or capacitive leakage is possible on long cable runs — check the system leakage before specifying. Voltage-independent trip technology means the RCCB opens on residual current even if the phase voltage collapses, a safety advantage in loss-of-neutral scenarios. The 4-pole version (neutral left) breaks all three phases and the neutral. Terminal capacity accepts up to 35 mm² rigid or 25 mm² flexible on the front, with a 14 mm strip length and 3.5 N.m torque — standard for panel wiring with a screwdriver. The contact position indicator and padlocking provision let a lockout/tagout procedure verify isolation visually and physically.
Integration notes
Storage range -40 to 85 °C covers most warehouse extremes; operating range -5 to 60 °C is adequate for indoor panels but not for direct-sun or unheated outdoor cabinets.
