Product details

The Schneider Electric A9Z22280 is an Acti9 iID residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) — a voltage-independent, instantaneous-trip device for AC networks at 50/60 Hz. The 2-pole (2P) unit clips onto a DIN rail, neutral on the left, and occupies 4 x 9 mm pitches (36 mm wide). Type A detection responds to sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents. The 100 mA threshold is a common equipment-protection level. Rated conditional short-circuit current is 10 kA per EN/IEC 61008-1, with an impulse withstand of 250 A (8/20 µs waveform). Insulation voltage is 500 V AC, impulse withstand 6 kV, pollution degree 3 — suitable for standard indoor panel environments where transient overvoltages are present.

Terminals accept double conductors: front entry up to 35 mm² rigid or 25 mm² flexible; rear entry up to 25 mm² rigid or 16 mm² flexible. IP20 rated (finger-safe terminals) per IEC 60529; IP40 when enclosed in a modular enclosure — standard for distribution boards. Ambient operating range -25 to 60 °C, storage -40 to 85 °C.
