The Schneider Electric A9Z24240 is an Acti9 iID 2-pole residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) rated at 40 A with a 300 mA Type A earth-leakage sensitivity. Rated operational voltage is 220...240 V AC at 50/60 Hz, with a rated insulation voltage of 500 V AC and an impulse withstand voltage of 6 kV. The conditional short-circuit current is 10 kA, and the rated breaking and making capacity is 1500 A (Idm/Im). This is a voltage-independent, instantaneous-trip RCCB, meaning it detects earth leakage without needing an external power supply and trips without intentional delay. The Type A classification covers sinusoidal AC residual currents and pulsating DC residual currents up to 6 mA.

Installation and wiring
Clip-on mounting to DIN rail. Neutral is on the left side. Strip length is 14 mm for both top and bottom connections. The toggle control provides a contact position indicator. A padlocking device can be fitted for lockout/tagout procedures.
