The ATV21WD37N4C is a 37 kW Altivar 21 AC drive designed for asynchronous motors in HVAC, pumping, and fan applications. It accepts a 380-480 V 3-phase supply and delivers 54.4 A line current at 480 V (68.9 A at 380 V). An integrated Class B EMC filter meets EN 55011 Group 1 Class B, which simplifies panel layout by eliminating the need for an external filter in most commercial installations. The drive carries CE marking and complies with IEC 61800-3 across multiple environment categories (C1, C2, C3), so it fits both residential and industrial EMC zones.
Switching frequency, torque, and speed regulation
Switching frequency is adjustable from 6 to 16 kHz; above 8 kHz a derating factor applies, so plan for reduced continuous current if motor noise suppression is the priority. Transient overtorque reaches 120 % of nominal motor torque for 60 seconds, useful for breakaway loads on conveyors or fans. Speed accuracy is ±10 % of nominal slip from 0.2 Tn to Tn, with an adjustable PI regulator loop for closed-loop process control.
