The ATV630U40M3 is an active-production Altivar Process ATV600 drive sized for 200-240 V three-phase supply, delivering 18.7 A continuous at 4 kHz (normal duty) or 13.7 A (heavy duty), corresponding to 4 kW and 3 kW motor power respectively. It ships without an internal EMC filter, so plan for an external filter or cabling mitigation if the installation must meet IEC 61800-3 Category C2 or C3 limits — the drive is certified to both environments, meaning the EMC performance depends on the filter you add. Wall-mount only, IP21 enclosure (UL Type 1), forced convection cooling drawing 38 m³/h of air. Mount vertical ±10°. Ambient humidity 5-95% non-condensing; altitude derating starts at 1000m, 1% per 100m up to 4800m. These bounds define where the drive can be panel-mounted without additional conditioning. Safety function STO (Safe Torque Off) integrated, SIL 3 capable. That eliminates a separate safety relay on many packaging lines with E-stops or guard interlocks.
