Product details

The ATV930D11N4ZU is a current-production variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV900 series, sized for 11 kW normal duty and 7.5 kW heavy duty on a 3-phase 380-480 V supply. Continuous output current is 23.5 A at 4 kHz for normal duty, 16.5 A at 4 kHz for heavy duty. An integrated braking chopper saves an external resistor module for standard deceleration profiles. The drive handles asynchronous and synchronous motors, making it a straightforward fit for pump, fan, or conveyor applications.

Controls integration and fieldbus

Built-in Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP allow direct connection to a PLC without an option card. For legacy or multi-vendor networks, optional communication modules fit Slot A for Profibus DP, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, or CANopen daisy chain. Serial Modbus RTU is also present, configurable for 4.8 kbps to 100 Mbps depending on the protocol used. The control terminal block accepts 0.5-1.5 mm² wire. External 24 V DC supply (19-30 V) is required for digital inputs; an internal 24 V supply (21-27 V) powers STO and digital I/O. A 10.5 V DC reference supply is available for an external potentiometer (1-10 kOhm).

Cabinet mount with IP21 / UL Type 12 protection. The drive must be vertical (within +/-10 degrees). Installation at altitude above 1000 m requires derating current by 1% per 100 m up to 4800 m. Vibration resistance to IEC 60068-2-6: 1.5 mm pk-pk at 2-13 Hz, 1 gn at 13-200 Hz. Shock rated at 15 gn, 11 ms. Cooling air volume is 103 m³/h. Pollution degree 2, overvoltage category III, and compliance with UL 508C, IEC 61800-3 (EMC), IEC 61800-5-1 (safety), IEC 61000-3-12 (harmonics), IEC 60721-3 (environmental), IEC 61508 and 13849-1 (functional safety). Total harmonic current distortion (THDI) below 48% from 80 to 100% load per IEC 61000-3-12.
