The Schneider Electric ATV930U15N4ZU is an Altivar Process ATV900 variable speed drive sized for 1.5 kW normal duty or 0.75 kW heavy duty induction and synchronous motors on 380-480 V three-phase supply. It delivers a continuous output current of 4 A at 4 kHz switching frequency for normal duty, and 2.2 A for heavy duty, making it suited for pump, fan, and compressor control in HVAC and industrial applications.
Mounts in a cabinet (cabinet mount, IP21) with vertical orientation within ±10°. Power terminals (line and motor) accept 2.5–6 mm² screw terminals; control terminals accept 0.5–1.5 mm². The drive includes an integrated EMC filter (with an optional EMC plate for higher attenuation) and a built-in braking chopper. Requires an external 24 V DC supply (19–30 V) for digital inputs and Safe Torque Off (STO) function; an internal 10.5 V DC supply is provided for a 1–10 kΩ reference potentiometer.
Communication and integration
Speaks Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus serial natively on the embedded port. For legacy fieldbuses — PROFIBUS DP, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, and CANopen — add the corresponding option module to Slot A. The drive supports half/full duplex and auto-negotiation on Ethernet links, with configurable parity on serial. This means it folds into a multi-vendor BMS or PLC network without a gateway hack for common protocols; BACnet integration goes through a BMS controller that talks Modbus TCP or EtherNet/IP upstream.
