This is the ATV930U22M3, a 3-phase 200-240V variable speed drive from Schneider's Altivar Process ATV900 family. It's a workhorse for asynchronous and synchronous motors up to 2.2 kW normal duty or 1.5 kW heavy duty. Coming straight from the factory with a braking chopper built in and an integrated EMC filter, it saves panel space and avoids two common add-on costs. Rated 11.2 A continuous output at 4 kHz for normal duty, and 8 A at 4 kHz for heavy duty. That 11.2 A figure is what you'll refer to for cable sizing and thermal overload selection. The drive also carries a THDI below 48% at full load per IEC 61000-3-12, so it won't trash the plant power quality like some older PWM drives.
It's covered by UL 508C, IEC 61800-3 (EMC), IEC 61800-5-1 (safety), and IEC 61508 / IEC 13849-1 for functional safety. Marked CE and UL Type 1. For a plant QC review or CE declaration file, those standards are the checklist.
Wall-mount, IP21, UL Type 1. Cooling air volume is 38 m³/h (10038.7 Gal/hr (US)), so leave clearance around the heatsink. Main power terminals accept 2.5-6 mm² (AWG 14-10); control terminals 0.5-1.5 mm² (AWG 20-16). The drive generates its own 24VDC supply for digital inputs and STO, plus a 10.5VDC reference for a 1-10 kΩ potentiometer. One less external PSU in the panel. The control terminals also accept a separate 24V external supply if you prefer isolation. There's a built-in choice between Modbus serial, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus TCP on the communication port, and option slots for Profibus DP, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen, or Ethernet Powerlink.
Rated for pollution degree 2, overvoltage category III, operating altitude up to 4800 m with derating (1% per 100 m above 1000 m). Vibration resistance is 1.5 mm peak-to-peak (2-13 Hz) and 1 gn (13-200 Hz) per IEC 60068-2-6. Shock rating 15 gn for 11 ms. It's built for the real floor – not a lab queen.
