The ATV930U40N4ZU is a 3-phase variable speed drive from the Altivar Process ATV900 family, sized for a 4.0 kW normal-duty (3.0 kW heavy-duty) induction or synchronous motor on a 380-480 V supply. Continuous output is 9.3 A at 4 kHz switching under normal duty, or 7.2 A at heavy-duty rating—this dual nameplate is the frame for your application classification. The integrated braking chopper covers dynamic deceleration without an external module, which simplifies panel layout for overhauling loads. Communication is handled over Modbus serial, Modbus TCP, or EtherNet/IP natively, with option slots for PROFIBUS, PROFINET, DeviceNet, EtherCAT, CANopen, and encoder feedback modules. The built-in PID regulator suports closed-loop control for process applications like pumps and fans.

Cabinet-mount design with an IP21 / UL type 12 enclosure. Cooling airflow of 38 m³/h (10038.7 Gal/hr) runs vertically—mount with +/-10° tolerance. The EMC filter is integrated (optional external plate for higher attenuation). Control wiring accepts 0.5–1.5 mm² screw terminals; power wiring up to 6 mm² on line, motor, and DC bus. Mounting in a ventilated enclosure without derating up to 1000 m altitude; derate 1% per 100 m above that.
