Lexium 18 servo motor with brake — 400 W, IP67 sealed
The BEH18MD0433MF5C is a 400 W servo motor from the Schneider Electric Lexium 18 range, built for motion-control axes that need a holding brake and a sealed enclosure. It delivers 1.27 N.m continuous stall torque at 220 V, with a peak stall torque of 4.45 N.m for acceleration transients. The IP67 rating means the motor body and shaft seal withstand washdown — suitable for food-and-bev or wet-process lines where ingress protection matters.
Feedback is a 17-bit magnetic multi-turn encoder (131072 points/turn), giving absolute position over multiple revolutions without a battery backup. The torque constant is 0.488 N.m/A at 40 °C, and the back EMF constant is 33.9 V/krpm — these numbers let the drive tune the current loop and predict the voltage rise at speed. The 10-pole motor design keeps cogging torque low for smooth low-speed profiling.
Mounting and integration — Asian standard flange, IP67 sealed
The motor uses a 60 mm Asian standard flange with four mounting holes, a 14 mm shaft with parallel key, and a 30 mm shaft length. Overall dimensions are 117.2 mm length, 60 mm height, and 70.2 mm depth — the compact envelope fits tight axis layouts. Electrical connection is via two male/female connectors, keeping the cabling separate from the motor body for easier replacement. Maximum radial force is 245 N and maximum axial force is 74 N — these set the belt-tension or coupling-load limits. The IP67 seal means the motor can be mounted in washdown zones without an additional cover, but the connector mating halves must also be IP67-rated to maintain the seal path.
