1 kW at 3000 rpm — torque envelope and load matching
The BEH18MF1033MA5C delivers 1 kW continuous output power at 220 V with a nominal torque of 3.18 N.m at 3000 rpm. Peak stall torque reaches 11.13 N.m at 220 V, giving a 3.5× overload margin for acceleration through inertia-dominated moves — useful for indexing or pick-and-place cycles where the duty cycle stays below the continuous rating. Continuous stall torque matches the nominal 3.18 N.m figure, so the motor can hold full torque at zero speed indefinitely within the 40 °C ambient limit. The 10-pole design keeps cogging torque low for smooth low-speed regulation.
17-bit magnetic multiturn feedback — positioning resolution
The magnetic encoder provides 131,072 points per revolution (17-bit), with multiturn absolute count. This gives a position resolution of roughly 0.00275° per count — sufficient for most servo positioning applications without a secondary encoder interface. The multiturn count tracks absolute position over multiple shaft revolutions, eliminating the need for a home cycle after power loss on battery-backed systems. Back EMF constant is 33.9 V/krpm at 40 °C and torque constant is 0.539 N.m/A. These values define the voltage-speed ceiling and the current-to-torque gain for the drive tuning loop. At 3000 rpm the back EMF reaches about 101.7 V line-to-line, leaving headroom for the drive to inject current against the 220 V bus.
IP67 enclosure and mechanical interface
Rated IP67, the motor body and shaft seal withstand direct washdown — suitable for food-and-beverage lines, washdown stations, or outdoor installations where the mating connector is also IP67-rated. The 80 mm Asian-standard flange with 4 mounting holes on a 6.4 mm bolt circle matches common frame sizes for direct replacement or new machine builds. Shaft is 19 mm diameter with a parallel key, 35 mm shaft length. Maximum radial force at the shaft shoulder is 392 N, maximum axial force 147 N — these set the belt-tension or coupling-load limits. Exceeding them shortens bearing life; a coupling with axial compliance is recommended for direct-coupled loads. No holding brake is fitted. For vertical-axis or power-off hold applications, an external brake or a motor variant with brake is required. The 2-connector electrical interface (male/female) mates with the Lexium 18 drive cable set.
