Power delivery and torque profile for the load
The BEH18MM0813MF6C is a Lexium 18 servo motor rated for 850 W continuous output at 220 V, three-phase. Its nominal speed of 1500 rpm at that voltage makes it a natural fit for applications needing moderate speed with good low-end torque — think indexing conveyors, rotary tables, or feed axes where the load demands torque at speed, not just peak acceleration. Nominal torque sits at 5.39 N.m (continuous stall torque is the same figure), with a peak stall torque of 16.17 N.m at 220 V — about 3× the continuous rating, which gives you headroom for short-duration moves like a rapid traverse or a quick index without tripping the drive's I²t limit.
Holding brake and environmental sealing
This motor ships with a holding brake rated at 16 N.m — enough to hold a vertical axis or a heavy rotary load stationary when the drive is disabled. The brake engages with the power off, so a loss of mains holds the load, not drops it. IP67 protection means the motor body and shaft seal withstand washdown — suitable for food processing lines, wash-down zones, or outdoor installations where hose-down cleaning is routine. The two-connector electrical interface (male/female) keeps the cable entry sealed when mated.
Feedback resolution and inertia matching
The 17-bit magnetic multi-turn encoder delivers 131,072 points per revolution of speed feedback resolution — that's enough for smooth velocity loops down to single-digit rpm without cogging, and the multi-turn absolute count means the axis knows its position after a power cycle without a home move.
Electrical constants and mechanical limits
Torque constant is 0.898 N.m/A at 40 °C, and the back EMF constant is 62.73 V/krpm at the same temperature — these let you estimate the current draw for a given torque and the voltage rise at speed. Continuous stall current is 6 A; maximum permanent current is 18 A, so the drive's current loop needs to handle at least that peak for short bursts. Maximum mechanical speed is 3000 rpm, and the motor has 10 poles — that gives a base speed of 1500 rpm at 220 V, with field weakening possible above that if the drive supports it. Maximum radial force on the shaft is 686 N, maximum axial force 196 N — stay within those for bearing life, especially if you're belt-driving or overhung-loading the shaft.
Mounting dimensions and flange compatibility
The motor uses an Asian standard flange with a 130 mm flange size and four mounting holes. Overall body dimensions: 167.6 mm wide (square cross-section), 130 mm high, and 174.5 mm deep from the mounting face to the rear of the housing. The shaft is 22 mm diameter, 58 mm long, with a parallel key — standard for coupling to a gearbox or pulley.
