1 kW servo for Lexium 18 drive families
The BEH18MM1023MA6D is a 1 kW servo motor from Schneider Electric's Lexium 18 range, delivering 4.77 Nm nominal torque at 2000 rpm on three-phase 380 V supply. It carries a 17-bit magnetic multi-turn encoder for absolute position feedback — no homing cycle needed after power loss on most Lexium 18 drives. The IP67 rating means the motor body and connector seal survive washdown environments; this is a sealed unit, not a drip-proof open-frame motor.
Torque, speed, and motor constants
Continuous stall torque is 4.77 Nm at 2.8 A continuous stall current; peak stall torque reaches 14.31 Nm at 8.39 A maximum current — the drive must supply that peak for acceleration transients. Torque constant is 1.704 Nm/A at 40 °C, and the back EMF constant is 108.1 V/krpm — these let the drive calculate the current needed for a given torque target and the voltage ceiling at high speed.
Mounting and mechanical interface
The motor uses an Asian standard flange with 130 mm square mounting pattern and four holes — common on packaging and material handling machines built in Asia. Shaft is 22 mm diameter with a 58 mm length and 8 mm parallel key; maximum radial force is 686 N and maximum axial force is 196 N — stay within these to avoid bearing damage.
Lifecycle and sourcing
No direct pin-compatible replacement exists within the Lexium 18 family; the BEH18MM1023MA6D is the current standard 1 kW variant with 17-bit multi-turn feedback and no holding brake.
