It carries a 17-bit magnetic multi-turn encoder for absolute position feedback — no homing cycle needed after power loss on most Lexium 18 drives. The IP67 rating means the motor body and connector seal survive washdown environments; this is a sealed unit, not a drip-proof open-frame motor.

Torque, speed, and motor constants

Continuous stall torque is 4.77 Nm at 2.8 A continuous stall current; peak stall torque reaches 14.31 Nm at 8.39 A maximum current — the drive must supply that peak for acceleration transients.
